FAQ
Are all therapists at GrowSpace Christian?
Yes, all our therapists have a firm faith in Jesus. While we may come from different Christian traditions or backgrounds, we share core Christian values and beliefs.

How much does it cost?
Sessions start at £55 when you pay for multiple sessions, but if you just want a one off session it's £65.

How qualified are GrowSpace therapists?
All our therapists have completed a Level 7 graduate qualification in counselling, which incorporates a Christian worldview in the training. This is significantly above the UK standard, which requires only a Level 4 diploma. Our higher standard ensures ethical and professional practice.
How does GrowSpace handle safeguarding?
We take safeguarding very seriously. We have partnered with thirtyone:eight, an independent safeguarding authority, to ensure that everything we do is ethical and safe.

Do therapists pray with clients during sessions?
As believers, prayer is important to us. However, counselling sessions are distinct from prayer ministry. We choose not to pray with clients during sessions to maintain professional boundaries and focus on therapeutic techniques.

Does GrowSpace take a stance on sexuality and gender identity?
We believe that each person is made in the image of God and is inherently valuable, regardless of their sexuality or gender identity. We will never discriminate against or treat anyone differently because of these aspects of their identity.
Some young people may wish to explore issues related to sexuality or gender identity in the counselling process. This is a normal and positive part of human development and self-discovery. Our role as therapists is not to impose our own beliefs or convictions onto the participant, but rather to provide a safe space for them to work through these topics.

We acknowledge that these can be sensitive and complex issues. Our goal is to approach them with empathy, wisdom and grace - always affirming the inherent dignity and worth of the individual. Our hope is that young people develop a healthy, Christ-centered understanding of themselves and their relationships, while respecting the freedom of conscience that each person has regarding matters of sexuality and gender identity.
